What Will I Learn in the Mindful Parenting Course?
This in-person 8-week course is based on two main practices: 1) Mindfulness, which helps us regulate our stress response and become calmer and less reactive; and 2) Skillful Communication, which allows us to speak lovingly and effectively in a way our children can hear us. is designed to help parents develop mindfulness skills to navigate the ups and downs of parenting with grace and compassion. Through interactive workshops, discussions, and practical exercises, you'll learn effective strategies to reduce stress, enhance communication, and cultivate a deeper connection with your child. Your experienced instructor will guide you on this journey towards becoming a more present and mindful parent. What Is Mindful Parenting?
Parenting is fundamentally about how we respond to our children in each moment. Mindful Parenting is the process of intentionally bringing awareness and compassion to each moment and cultivating loving speech and deep listening to promote better relationships in the family. The course is based on two main practices: 1) Mindfulness, which helps us regulate our stress response and become calmer and less reactive; and 2) Skillful Communication, which allows us to speak lovingly and effectively in a way our children can hear us.
About the Instructor
Janice Solasteas is the owner of Sol Success, providing a holistic approach to education and family support with academic, executive function, and resiliency coaching; college counseling; and parent coaching services. Janice has been coaching people of all ages in a variety of fields and subjects for over two decades, and has been practicing mindfulness and meditation since 2003. Janice creates engaging and effective individualized plans that empower children, teens, and adults to cultivate discovery and meet challenges with resilience. When she's not teaching, she enjoys baking, fiber crafts, playing board games and TTRPGs, yoga, swimming, and going on adventures with her husband and son.
About Our Tiered Pricing:
In order to provide more equitable access to these valuable materials, there are three pricing tiers. In the spirit of generosity, we encourage you to consider enrolling at the highest level you can afford. Limited spots are available for the Scholarship Level, and the more Supporters we have, the more Scholarship Level seats we can open up.
- Supporter Level - This enrollment level provides both fair-value access to the Mindful Parenting Course, and an opportunity to directly contribute to making positive change accessible to others. A portion of your fee will be used to subsidize enrollment for parents who are struggling financially. If you are financially comfortable enough to get all of your needs met and most of your wants, please consider purchasing at this rate.
- Base Level - This enrollment level provides you fair-value access to the Mindful Parenting Course. If you are financially stable enough to regularly get your needs met and some of your wants, please consider purchaing at this rate.
- Scholarhip Level - This enrollment level provides more equitable access to the Mindful Parenting Course for parents who are struggling financially. If you cannot always make ends meet, or if you can only occasionally purchase things you "want" rather than "need", we invite you to enroll at this rate.
The Mindful Parenting Course was developed by Hunter Clarke-Fields, MSAE, and will be taught by Janice Solasteas, Owner & Principal Coach of Sol Success and certified Mindful Parenting Coach.
